White & Gold Master Bathroom
I’m so thrilled to have a bathroom that feels bright, airy and has lots of natural light! It’s been such a dream to be able to have extra cabinet storage for make-up and all my bathroom accessories!
When we started on the shower, there were a couple hiccups along that way that ended up working out wonderfully! The ceiling in the shower was designed by the builders to be much lower, however when doing the sheetrock, they kept it at 10 feet! Since Andrew and I are both tall, it’s been amazing to have such height in the shower!
The second issue with the shower was the shower wall tile. We chose the Daltile Florentine Carrara Glossy 12 x 24 and these tiles were supposed to be cut to 6 x 12. They quickly discovered cutting this tile left a jagged edge that would absolutely not work. Since the ceiling ended up being so tall, I think the larger tile pieces ended up perfect!
It’s been fun to bring in a few decor pieces to the bathroom. I picked up this $15 orchid at Whole Foods and I love the bright color! I also added this darling blue and white ginger jar tray from 8 Oak Lane! Some day I hope to add wallpaper, but I’m definitely enjoying the bright white right now!
